Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women with Dr. Annita Lucchesi

As part of a series of events on Wednesday, November 13, this lecture invites the community to learn about the alarming number of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls. By conservative estimates, this community is more than 10 times as likely to face sexual assault and murder. Learn about the cultural norms that may make this number much higher, and insights on how to address this problem that deeply affects our First Nations in ways the rest of us often don't understand.

Earlier in the day, there will be drumming, dancing, and quilt displays, also in the ballroom. This event is free and open to the public.
