From our friends at Bradley University: The Women's and Gender Studies program and the Latin American Studies program with the support of several other departments in the college of LAS are sponsoring the screening of the documentary "The Unafraid". This event will take place in GCC, 126
This documentary shows the challenges faced by DACA recipients who live in Georgia and want to attend college, but there is a ban on attending public higher education in their state. Several states in the country have a similar ban.
After the documentary, we will have a panel discussion with a Dreamer student and faculty members and staff who have worked with Dreamers in their previous institutions. Our goal is to raise awareness on how attending college is a privilege and an opportunity that can't be wasted on apathy.
