Ambassador Hale was Under Secretary of State from 2018-2021 before retiring and becoming a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center. He served as US Ambassador to Pakistan (2015-2018), Lebanon (2013-2015), and Jordan (2005-2008), and as Special Envoy for Middle East Peace during his long career as a Foreign Service Officer. He will join us in Peoria for an evening discussion with Congressman Darin LaHood in partnership with our friends at St. Sharbel’s.
Door open at 5:30 pm with hors d'oeuvres. The conversation between Ambassador Hale and Congressman LaHood will be moderated by Don Samford at 6:30 pm.
