How to Get Away with Murder
Dr. Liza Black offers a transnational history and contemporary overview of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirits. Black will share stories and experiences of Indigenous women, girls, and non-binary people across Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. while examining how colonial culture, legal systems, and jurisdictional issues contribute to ongoing violence against Indigenous communities. 
Liza Black is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, an Associate Professor of History and Native American and Indigenous Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, and a Racial Justice Fellow at Harvard University.
