Featuring Mikhael Doueihi, candidate for the Lebanese Parliament, from his home in Lebanon via Zoom
Even before the massive explosion in the port at Beirut in August 2020, Lebanon has been facing political, economic, and social challenges. Lebanon's struggle with corruption and inefficient government has been compounded by the weight of hosting over two million refugees from the conflicts in Syria and Iraq and the external influences from Iran. With the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Lebanon is a failed state.
But what is their potential to rise again, as they have in the previous decades? Join us for a frank conversation with Mikhael Doueihi, a candidate for office who believes he can make a difference.
This program will be held via Zoom and with a small group setting in Bradley Hall, Room 139.
